Episode 7 of the season, named Necro, is where American Horror Stories really goes off the rails. The episode is about a traumatized young woman who works as a mortician and has a journey of self-exploration regarding what her trauma has turned her into.
None of this to say that Q will maintain his older look. Star Trek: Picard season 2 is a time travel story where the Star Trek timeline is "broken" and Q provokes exploration of the "roads not taken" by Picard and his new crew. There is certainly a chance that the show will employ digital de-aging technology to make Q (and possibly Jean-Luc) look 25 years younger to resemble how they appeared on TNG. There may also be a further twist involved that could explain that Q really has aged against his will. But young or old, it's exciting to see Q again, and Star Trek: Picard season 2 should bring back plenty of fond memories as Q taunts Jean-Luc through this new time travel adventure to save the future.
In the interview, Hickel also mentioned that the director of the season 2 finale had some prior experience working with the digital de-aging effect, so it helped immensely. Ant-Man director Peyton Reed returned to direct that final episode, and Hickel noted that in the MCU, he had experience using the de-aging effect on Michael Douglas for the younger version of his character Hank Pym.
Why you should watch: Remember how "Battlestar Galactica" was reimagined? The same has been done to the old 1965, black and white show that came from the mind of Irwin Allen. And the result is amazing. The first season is marginally better than the second, but both are worth binge-watching in their entirety.
